Lifelong Learning Promotes Your Military Career

Your military career is supported by thirteen plus years of education. The knowledge from K-12 and beyond is taken into the workforce and heightened by those popular educational degrees you hear about like “bachelor degree,” “master degree,” and “doctoral degree.” You may work with technological or sensitive equipment that requires you to go to “career training,” “job training,” or “vocational training.” In the military, your lifelong learning is endless.

Some people look at this with despair. So many years of learning and school, and you just want out! But lifelong learning could be more beneficial than you think.

Lifelong Learning Opens Doors to Opportunities

The world is constantly changing, and education is one way to know about it. By continuing to go back to school, whether it’s for a single online class that is sharpening your skills while you’re deployed, or for an entire online degree, you will accelerate your career and open doors to new opportunities. And if you think you’re sick of school, remember that life itself is a learning process–newspapers are textbooks, assignments are schoolwork–so this is a regiman you’re actually used to and have been a part of as far as your memory can take you!

Lifelong Learning Drives Ambition

Some lifelong learning opportunities might seem completely irrelevant to your current military career, like a class in pottery. All these learning opportunities, however, drive ambition. Your mind is a muscle that is exercised by learning and your desire to do more and learn more is heightened as you continue to integrate education into your life.

Lifelong Learning is Possible Through Online Education

Online education makes lifelong learning possible even when you are deployed in Iraq. Military friendly colleges like Saint Leo University will help you promote your military career through a lifelong learning process that is available at your fingertips with a mouse, keyboard, monitor, and computer.

Get your lifelong learning in motion by looking into a new class or degree for your career!–the Post 9/11 GI Bill makes it more possible than ever before!
