Tuition Benefits are Zero for California Colleges
Military.com reported that due to the fact California state operated colleges and universities do not charge tuition to undergraduates, the tuition benefits from the Post 9/11 GI Bill for a prospective military student in California is zero. This means that a private college would only offer benefits if they participated in the Yellow Ribbon Program, and the student would still have to accrue student loans; the Yellow Ribbon Program will only cover up to 50% of tuition expenses with full college support.
