List of Participating Schools in Yellow Ribbon Program

The Yellow Ribbon Program allows high-tuition colleges to offer education to veterans despite the limitation of annual tuition disbursements.

Students eagerly wait for a list to be released with the colleges that are participating in this program, especially with the recent release of the application for the Post 9/11 GI Bill. Universities typically do enrollment for their fall semester early in the summer, and competitive colleges have already taken applications for admission.

Despite the time constraints surrounding the upcoming fall semester, the list for Yellow Ribbon participaters has a month to go; on the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ official Yellow Ribbon page, they promise to provide a list of participating schools by June 1st.

Part of the reason behind the delay is that colleges must go through the rigorous process of applying for the Yellow Ribbon Program, just as students are currently going through the process of applying for their Post 9/11 GI Bill; and many colleges have expressed concern with the program due to the economic crisis. These are heavy decisions that are in the middle of being weighed.

I am trying to find out if the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) is participating in the Yellow Ribbon program. My admissions counselor seems oblivious to the matter.

Throughout my research, I have not found any information pertaining to the Milwaukee School of Engineering participating in the Yellow Ribbon Program, although several schools have not officially announced their participation.

The VA will be releasing a list of participating colleges in June–stay posted, the list should be coming out very shortly!
