Colleges Around the US Educating Veterans on the GI Bill
A small newspaper in Modesto, CA released an article last Friday called ‘Post 9/11 GI Bill’s audience tiny yet enthused’. The article discusses how Sarah Roorda, 23, and Lloyd Stueve, 67, two different veterans from two different generations, attended a meeting at Cal State University of Stanislaus to learn more about the Post 9/11 GI Bill.
Universities all across the United States are hosting seminars to try to educate their local veterans about the benefits of the new bill. Potential students are being sought by universities in their communities to take advantage of the financial aid the government has to offer for members of the military.
For veterans looking to learn more about the Post 9/11 GI Bill locally, postsecondary schools as small as community colleges are offering seminars to get people prepared for the financial aid available to them as soon as this coming fall semester. The Anoka-Ramsey Community College released news about how veterans that are part of the college staff are looking forward to it and eager to support the new wave of college-bound veterans.
Veterans are encouraged to look up their local colleges for more information, as well as the opportunity to network with other local veterans also interested in the Post 9/11 GI Bill. Websites that network several college campuses, such as DegreeGo, also have staff that are willing to answer your questions and address your personal needs.
